The wind, the desert and the sea…

Between the Atlantic and the desert, a long sand area has come to dive into the sea. The lagoon has thus received within it the nests of thousands of migrating birds.

Overlooking this long chain of sparkling sand dunes, gulls and cormorants try to catch sea-breams for fishermen and tease the men who attempt with their multi-coloured sails to take speed from the omnipresent wind. Once repelled, they take delight of the spectacle of humpback dolphins and let their wing dry up under the sun in gentle quiver of bliss. Take a deep breath, you are in Dakhla.

The Dakhla Attitude

Dakhla, in the extreme south of Morocco and 1500 km away from Casablanca, is situated on a small peninsula of the Atlantic coast called Rio de Oro. The peninsula of 14 kilometres also extends along a coast of 40 kilometres, thereby creating an enormous preserved lagoon.

It is within this real paradise for surf culture, fishing and excursions that Karim Skelli and Rachid Roussafi created in 2003 the Dakhla Attitude camp and its kitesurfing school, in order to share the adventure, change of scene and relaxation at the heart of an authentic and warm Morocco.
